Are you a bit of a stationery junky like most of us creatives are? Then you will totally understand when I saw this cute little miniature clipboard how excited I got.
How to:
The clipboard only measures about A5 size but it’s the perfect size to hold a notepad that always seems to disappear underneath a pile of paperwork into a dark abyss. But having this handy and now gorgeous clipboard for a notepad is a gamechanger.
I dressed it up using some gold vinyl and in a few easy steps I had changed it from white and boring to all snazzy with loads of personality.
Step 1
Select your design and cut it out of vinyl. Remember to select the metallic vinyl material setting so you can get a perfect cut. Weed the design to a beautiful line image.
Step 2
Add your transfer tape to the front of your weeded design and burnish using the scraper tool so the design adheres to the transfer tape.
TIP: I like to burnish on the back {white backing paper side} as the vinyl tends to come off onto the actual clear transfer tape a lot easier.
Step 3
Carefully position the image with the transfer tape onto the clipboard where you want the design and burnish again to transfer the vinyl image onto the surface. Carefully remove the clear layer. Smooth out the design with a soft cloth and trim off any excess overlapping vinyl on the edges for a clean look.
