A Colourful Mother’s Day Card

Mother’s Day cards don’t have to boring or bland or overpowering – they just need to be from the heart.

How to:

For this quick card, I used my Cricut Maker together with a favourite inking effect of mine to create a colour filled card in just a few easy steps. Take a look how I created it.

Step 1

I cut the design from Design Space on my Cricut Maker using black cardstock. This design is ready to go and so beautifully elegant and simplistic.

Step 2

I selected 3 of my favourite All-Purpose Inks to use as well as my Little Birdie Soft Gel medium.

Step 3

Mix small amounts of the All-Purpose Ink together with a dollop of gel medium until you have a coloured gel. Use an old credit card or spatula and randomly apply streaks of colour across a piece of white cardstock. Leave the streaks to dry.

Step 4

Once dry, trim the coloured piece smaller to fit inside the notched corners of the black panel. Add small glue dots behind the black panel and adhere it in place, tucking the corners inside the notched areas.

Step 5

Adhere the card to a white panel and finish off with some diamante in different shades to match your inked panel. Write a message inside and slip into an envelope.

Quick and easy making a colourful statement, yet subtle and elegant just like your Mom. Make this Mother’s Day special using inks together with your Cricut Maker.
