For the single page, I cut this gorgeous sunflower cut file on my Cricut Maker out of dark grey cardstock. On the white background, I added some stamping using my Celebr8 stencil to break the white background, then adhered the cut file.
How to:
I added colour using shimmering pigments in yellow painted on and then layered some walnut ink crystals over the top for a fun effect.
The centre of the sunflower piece was embossed – I used VersaMagic Sahara Sand for the inking and then sprinkled with gold, clear and yellow embossing powders for a multicoloured effect. This piece was cut in half and raised using foam tape.
Step 1
The fun circle elements were created by simply colouring my charm elements using Couture Creations Alcohol Inks. Place your charms onto some white cardstock, drip some alcohol ink on top and leave to dry.
Step 2
Once dry, I punched the ink leaf impressions on the cardstock into small circles to use on my layout.
On the double page layout, I embossed my chipboard elements the same way I did with my single page sunflower element.
Step 1
Ink your chipboard with VersaMagic Sahara Sand and while wet, sprinkle with embossing powder.
Step 2
Layer some yellow, gold and clear embossing powder by sprinkling small amounts of each colour onto the wet ink, then heat set using your heat gun.
Step 3
On the patterned paper, I used the stencil to add extra detail. Line up your stencil with the matching pattern on the background paper, then use a sponge dauber and Memento Toffee Crunch to lightly ink the pattern. You can even add a second colour like VersaMagic Mango Madness for a variegated look.
