Have you seen the Couture Creations paper range? Well if not then you are seriously missing out. It is the perfect blend between vintage and romantic – perfect for any project and theme. And you all know it is no secret that I really love vintage, so this range is close to my heart!

The designs are beautifully and carefully coloured and designed in a way that you can fussy cut loads of beautiful roses to create accents and soft edges on layouts especially. And that was the inspiration behind this layout – the fact that the paper designs are really versatile.

I wanted to use this range for a recent family photo, but needed to add some interesting. So I started off with the Vintage Rose range but added some pop of blue as an element of surprise. The navy and light blue worked really well and gave the entire look a whole new edge.

And because my photo had loads of open quiet space I knew exactly what I wanted to do – stamp some beautiful wording directly onto the photo. I used my Galaxy Gold Brilliance ink pad for that, and because Brilliance ink is made just for that reason it turned out even better than I imagined it would.

Brilliance is a fast-drying ink with a rich pearlescent colour base – the fact that it is a pigment ink and fast drying on different types of surfaces like glossy cardstock and photo paper makes it really unique and special. Just remember that drying time may vary on different papers so you need to give it some time to dry really well.
