Having rubber stamps offers you so much possibility. I love to combine different stamps with a variety of techniques to achieve different looks. Today I am sharing how I use washi tape or painters tape to mask off areas on my stamp. This is an easy but effective way of achieving empty space on a stamp.
-
Step 1
Add a strip of painters tape or washi tape across a background stamp.
-
Step 2
Use two different colours of memento ink pads and ink the stamp using one colour above the tape and the second colour below the tape.
-
Step 3
Mist the stamp with water.
-
Step 4
Remove the tape from the stamp after misting it with water.
-
Step 5
Stamp the image onto white cardstock and leave to dry.
-
Step 6
Gather some wording stamps, or any other stamps that will fit into the open space created by the taped off area.
-
Step 7
Stamp the images in the open space using VersaFine ink.
Use the masked and stamped technique on cards or layouts as a fun accent.
