If you have been craving some new paper to use in your scrapbooking and other creative projects, then crave no more! The new Teresa Collins’ range of papers and embellishments are simply delicious in every way and should be available at your local scrapbook store now.

The fun and playful elements are perfect for those girly pages but also ideal for boy pages – any theme will do. With its bright pink, orange, navy and turquoise accents the black and white is simply perfect. Never before have I seen a black that is not as harsh on the eye as this one. The black has a blackboard softness to it that can only be described as a ‘halo’ effect that softens every pigment in the paper. Totally gorgeous!

I used the Family Stories range combined with some elements from the Memorabilia range to complete my layout. I love how the bright orange and blues complement the soft pink and grey. There is a certain air to the designs that will complement any scrapping theme perfectly. As an accent I used a combination of my paper scraps to create a paper pieced flower as one of the main decorative elements on my layout. I love how simple the idea is but you can create a myriad of looks using the same stamp.

How to make the Paper pieced flower

You will need:

• Large flower stamp
• Black VersaFine Ink pad
• Scraps of paper
• Scissors

• Step 1

  Stamp a large flower stamp onto a scrap piece of paper and then cut it out on the outer edges of the stamped lines. This flower will be used as the base onto which the paper piecing will be done.

• Step 2

  Repeatedly stamp the same flower onto scraps of patterned paper used on your layout. There are five petals so you could use five different papers to complete the flower, meaning that you need to stamp the flower five times onto different papers.

• Step 3

  Cut out the different petals from each of the patterned papers. You can use one petal from each of the patterned papers to complete your flower, or repeat some of the papers in the flower as I did.

• Step 4

  Ink the edges of the petals and adhere them to the base flower you stamped previously. Fill in the centre with a printed element, large decorative brad or button.
