If you are a creative soul and use a lot of paint and have paint water on your desk, as well as the much-needed coffee on tap – you will know exactly what I am talking about… More than often, I have dipped my paintbrush into my coffee instead of my paint water. Cricut Maker and Vinyl to the rescue to alter some plain white mugs into something that will hopefully help with this.
How to:
I cut the gorgeous Cricut Holographic Vinyl and labeled my mugs with a fun Cricut font found in Design Space.
But how amazing is this vinyl? Can we just take a minute and appreciate the amazingness of the changing colours. And the quality – truly can’t be compared to most other vinyl’s I have used. And the good news – this vinyl will soon be available here in South Africa.
Step 1
Design and size your design to fit onto your mug.
Step 2
Cut and weed your design using your Cricut tool.
Step 3
You will notice the backing of this holographic vinyl is a bright blue colour once weeded.
Step 4
Apply transfer tape and transfer the image onto your mugs.
TIP: I find it helpful to lay my glass or mug in a small Tupperware container to prevent it from moving around while applying vinyl. I normally eye-ball it and hope I get it perfectly straight.
