Introduction

Welcome to The Wholesaler website. Use of The Wholesaler website (thewholesaler.biz) confirms that you have read and accept our terms and conditions, and that you agree to be bound by them.

The Wholesaler reserves the right to update, change, modify or otherwise alter our terms and conditions at any time without prior notice in its sole discretion. Such revisions shall be effective immediately upon notice thereof, and any such notice may be given through any means, including but not limited to posting of the revised terms on thewholesaler.biz website. Use of the website indicates your acceptance of any changes. You are responsible for regularly reviewing these terms of use.

Wholesale

The Wholesaler sells to retail outlets in Southern Africa that carry products related to craft, scrapbooking, stationery, DIY or printing. The Wholesaler does not sell to the public.

Retail Business Categories

1. Shop Fronts:
The Wholesaler sells to shop front retail stores that operate from commercial premises in Southern Africa and that carry products related to craft, scrapbooking, stationery, DIY or printing.

2. Online Stores:
The Wholesaler sells to online stores that have a professional ecommerce website with shopping cart and secure payment gateway and that offer products related to craft, scrapbooking, stationery, DIY or printing.

3. Social Media Businesses:
The Wholesaler, at its discretion, sells to established and proven Social Media Businesses (100 + users), such as but not limited to, Facebook and WhatsApp that actively sell products related to craft, scrapbooking and stationery. The Wholesaler retains the right to join customer social media platforms.

Business Restrictions
  • No face-to-face selling to consumers from non-commercial premises.
  • No collection of Online or Social Media orders by consumers from non-commercial premises.
  • Products to be sold at a market related retail margin.
  • All reports of non-compliance of the above restrictions will be followed up on.
Product Promotion

Wholesale customers are free to engage in classes, workshops, scrap ‘n chats and events promoting product purchased from The Wholesaler from commercial or non-commercial premises.

Order Requirements
  • Opening Order – R5000
  • Repeat Order Minimum – R1000
  • Quarterly Minimum – R2500
  • Annual Minimum – R10 000
New Wholesale Customers

Please complete the online registration form here. Once your application has been processed and approved, you will be contacted with a user name and password that will allow you to place orders online.

The Wholesaler reserves the right to suspend or terminate, at our discretion, a registered user's account for violations of our rules, guidelines, or terms and conditions. Equally, the decision to accept or decline any store application, is at the discretion of The Wholesaler.

General

Consumer Protection Act

All retailers that The Wholesaler sells to, undertake to at all times adhere to and comply with the terms and conditions of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and indemnify The Wholesaler from any liability in any instance where, the retailer fails to comply with or adhere to the terms and conditions thereof. Furthermore, retailers, undertake to furnish all consumers with the manufacture’s product warranty, the terms and conditions whereof shall apply except where in conflict with any current or future South African law.

Third-party Websites

As a convenience only, this website may contain links to other websites belonging to or operated by third parties. By making these links available, we are not endorsing third-party websites, their content, products, services or the owners of these third-party websites.

It is your responsibility to make sure that you obtain any information which may be relevant to making a decision, and that you read the privacy and security policy on such third-party websites. We have no control over third-party websites and will not be liable for any loss or damage you suffer, whether directly or indirectly, as a result of your use of third-party websites. You agree that where you access third party websites you do so entirely at your own risk.

However, The Wholesaler seeks to protect the integrity of its website and the links placed upon it, and therefore requests any feedback on not only our website but also the third-party website.

Store Locator
  • Please note that The Wholesaler offers a store locator service to the general public. The store locator is a listing of retail & online stores across Southern Africa and purely a referral system.
  • The Wholesaler is not responsible for any direct or indirect damages or losses resulting from the dealings resulting from the store locator referrals.

Competitions
  • The Wholesaler may advertise competitions on our website that are open to the public.
  • The rules & terms for each competition will be clearly stated on each competition campaign.
  • When entering a competition, you agree to be automatically subscribed to our mailing list.
  • The Wholesaler reserves the right to amend competition rules at any time. The Wholesaler may also create rules which will apply to a specific competition only. If we do this we will publish the amended competition rules and/or specific competition rules on the relevant competition page.
Electronic Products

Warranty

All electronic products sold by The Wholesaler have a 1 Year Limited Warranty. This hardware warranty specifically covers factory faults relating to the machine, power cord and adapter and/or USB cord. Should any of these hardware components test as faulty within the first year of ownership (as determined by the original purchase date), the product or part thereof will be replaced. Any damage caused to an electronic product by a user will render the Warranty null and void. Generally issues experienced with electronic products are related to improper operation. Please utilise the resources available and ensure that you understand how to correctly operate your product.

Technical Support

Please note that The Wholesaler does not provide technical support on any electronic products.

Should you require technical support, please contact:

Faulty Electronic Products

  • In the event of a machine not functioning correctly, please contact Cricut Member Care.
  • A trained professional at Cricut Member Care will evaluate your machine and determine if your machine is faulty and within the warranty period.
  • Cricut Member Care will communicate directly with both the consumer and The Wholesaler and advise if your machine should be replaced.
  • Should Cricut Member Care instruct that your machine be replaced, you will be required to return the machine in the original packaging, together with power supply, cutting mats, blades and instruction manuals and proof of purchase.
  • The Wholesaler is not able to authorize the replacement of any machine without the approval of Cricut Member Care.
  • Please note that internal return procedures must be followed for all machines purchased at takealot, loot and PNA.

Repairs

The Wholesaler does not offer any repairs on electronic products.
