Writing with your Cricut Maker

There is something about a beautifully written card or sign. And if you are like most people, then you don’t love your handwriting. That’s why the Cricut range of machines are so fantastic – they have pens, and they can write and draw. How amazing is that!

How to:

Today I created this quick thank you postcard, using a piece of coloured cardstock and my magical Cricut Maker – but that’s not all, I went a few steps further using some of my much-loved tools and elements in my stash.

Step 1

I used Memento Dew Drop ink pads to add some colour to a piece of white cardstock.

Step 2

Select which colour pen you want to draw with. Of course, in this case, the classic black was the winner.
This handy pen set has 5 colours perfect for all your everyday needs.

Step 3

Choose your design and insert the pen into your Maker when prompted. Then let the Cricut Maker do all the work.

Step 4

I added some colouring in detail using my gold Kaisercraft pencil. And when you get to the age of wearing glasses, colouring outside the lines is a thing, so on to the next magical step.

Step 5

I used my Couture Creations Creative Detailer to erase the areas where I went over the line a bit – and in one easy step, you couldn’t even tell that I coloured over the lines. Such a magical way of getting a perfect finish.

It’s so quick and easy to create beautifully written elements for your crafting and everyday life using your Cricut Machine.
