So I have finally started to catch up on my Project Life album. Don’t get me wrong – at first I was so freaked out about getting organised and up to date, and for a little while there it seemed like this was the year it would happen. But then ‘real life’ got in the way and things went pear-shaped from there on.

What I learned is that in the end it really didn’t stress me out. The fact that I don’t have everything I wanted to work with, I instead plunged my energy into what was available to me and made that work. Because in the end I am a creative soul and very little can get in my way right?

So here I was staring February in the face in the mid of winter, and all I had to work with was the amazing Seashore line by Prima – poor me I know! But what I threw together with the gorgeous range was some “Princess” embellishments and wood icons, a few embossing folders and I was done. Of course I had the wonderful Project Life pockets to work with so I could literally finish my spread in a couple of hours, with a coffee break in between.

I started off my cutting some of the gorgeous papers into sizes that would fit my pockets. I then selected some embossing folders and inks and a few embellishments and created mini sea-collages onto the patterned papers. First off I embossed my pieces of patterned paper using my selected embossing folder and Cuttlebug. Then I lightly brushed some brown dye ink across the top edges to highlight the raised areas. A few embellishments later and some sewing and I was done.

It can’t get any easier than that, except for adding some lace stickers to my photos directly. And within hours I was stress free, creative and almost caught up with my album – thanks to Prima’s versatile and beautiful products!

So, once again I proved to myself that not only can a variety of themed products work together really really well – being creative is a mind-set combined with action.
