I love creating fun projects with themes. And what comes easy is a project all about love in shades of red filled with flowers. I created this embroidery hoop frame project in a few easy steps that can be recreated by anyone – it’s not just for a select few. Use what you have at hand and be inspired to make your own.
-
Step 1
Draw a pencil line onto patterned paper around an embroidery hoop. Splatter All-Purpose Ink onto a plastic packet, mist with water and then stamp onto the paper inside the circle. Leave to dry then add some walnut ink splats.
-
Step 2
Colour some gauze using All-Purpose Ink. Use a pipette to drop some ink onto the gauze and mist with water to let the ink cover the gauze. Use your fingers to manipulate the gauze making sure it is fully coloured.
-
Step 3
Adhere the hoop to the patterned paper and trim the excess off. Emboss a wooden heart and die-cut LOVE in red embossing powder.
-
Step 4
Gather some Little Birdie Flowers in shades of red and white.
-
Step 5
Adhere all the elements inside the frame using Little Birdie Gel Medium. Use a palette knife to apply the gel behind the flowers and then adhere them in place. Add some Gel Medium around the flowers and then sprinkle with crystal drops and pearls. Leave the gel to dry for a permanent adhesion.
I love how easy it is to adhere all the different elements using the Little Birdie Gel Medium.
