I think we are all a bit guilty of having too many supplies and not always using them. And that is fine, but sometimes it is just fun pulling out several things all at once and making use of all those gorgeous things we have. Let’s face it, we bought these gorgeous products for a reason so why not use them?
How to:
For these quick and easy cards, I used my Memento Dew Drops to create some fun stencilled backgrounds. I then added fun details using glitter embossing powder and some coloured images. Here’s how I created these quick cards.
Step 1:
I kept this piece of glitter cardstock that I cut hearts out of on my Cricut Maker. Using masking tape, I taped off one of the large hearts and stencilled it using MementoLuxe ink onto my panel. You can also use Versamagic Dew Drop inks here.
Step 2:
Stamp some small flowers and sentiments using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. Use your docrafts Watercolour Dual Tip Pens to add colour to the stamped flowers and cut them out.
Step 3:
Repeat with your second stenciled panel.
TIP: For this background, I used my stencil with the ink on it, misted the ink with water and then stamped the pattern onto my white cardstock. This way I don’t waste any of the ink on the stencil and I also get a second card background with a totally different look.
Step 4:
While the ink is still wet, sprinkle some glitter embossing powder over the heart, shake off the excess and heat set using your heat gun.
Assemble your cards using all your elements for a fun look.
