One of my favourite things as a crafter must be my rubber stamps. Stamps in all shapes, forms and designs are a must. And add some amazing inks with them and you have a recipe for a gorgeous end result.
I combined a beautiful background stamp with a fun rainbow inking effect for a quick and easy card. Take a look at how I created this fun effect…
-
-
Step 1
Stamp a background image onto premium coated matt paper using VersaFine ink in grey.
-
-
-
Step 2
Stamp a second image and punch a circle out of the stamped piece.
-
-
-
Step 3
Use a brayer with some Memento Luxe Ink Pads and add colour to the stamped image. Roll the brayer into the ink and then onto the paper. Repeat with all 3 colours next to each other as per the sample.
-
-
-
Step 4
Mist the ink with water and use a piece of roller towel to swipe the inks across each other to blend them together. Leave the ink to dry and trim smaller.
-
-
-
Step 5
Adhere the trimmed piece onto a folded card front. Add some colour to the circle element and once it is dry add foam tape to the back.
-
-
-
Step 6
Adhere the circle element to the front of the card with some washi tape, thread and other embellishments.

This mixed media ink works really well to blend together on coated papers and over stamped image. Note how the Versafine ink does not smudge or blend even when large amounts of water is added to it, making it the perfect ink to use for stamping images you are going to colour in.
This is such a fun way of using stamps and inks to create a rainbow effect in a few easy steps using my favourite ink pads of all time.
