Versatile bright and funky with a twist of feel good girly characteristics is how I can describe the new Prima Rosarian Collection. When I first saw this range I loved everything about it, and although I don’t use bright colours that often I knew that this range would be a favourite with loads of potential.

I did a single page layout using various elements from the range that are available from The Wholesaler. But my favourite must be the patterned papers. The papers work well together and my next challenge to myself will be to see how well I can mix things up using some other paper ranges and colours combined with this bold and eclectic range of papers and elements. I am sure I will love the effect and outcome just as much.

Here’s how I completed my layout.

• Cut the Alba patterned paper into a strip measuring 2×6” (5x15cm). Adhere the strip flush to the left edge of the background cardstock and 7cm from the top edge.
• Adhere the blue floral patterned paper from the paper pad flush with the Perles strip.
• Adhere the black patterned paper next but leaving a small space between the edge of the blue pattern. Trim off any excess on the edge of the black patterned paper if need be.
• Cut a 5cm (2”) wide strip from the Old Garden patterned paper and adhere it to the bottom of the centre panel of patterned paper pieces. Leave a small space between the papers and the strip below.
• From the back of the Alba paper trim a strip of lace and use pinking scissors for a decorative edge. Adhere this strip above the centre panel of patterned papers.
• Adhere your photo as per the sample.
• Die-cut the doily from plain white cardstock and trim off a piece. Ink the die-cut using a dark charcoal ink for visual interest and adhere it below your photo.
• Die-cut butterflies and emboss them using the Cuttlebug. Adhere them as per the sample to the left of your photo where the papers meet each other. Use pop dots to adhere the butterflies for added dimension.
• Add three leaves from the Rosarian Perles flower pack and create flowers out of scraps of patterned paper using a paper punch.
• Fuzzy cut some flowers from the Old Garden paper and adhere them to the top left hand corner of your layout.
• Finish of by adding wood buttons, diamante and other elements to suit your theme and personal scrapbooking style.
