Origami Bowls Using Pretty Paper

Beautiful scrapbooking paper is not just for making cards and scrapbook pages, it’s for making anything beautiful and decorative, like these Origami Bowls.

Step 1

Use 3 different patterned papers from your paper pack and cut them into 4,5×4,5” (11x11cm) squares.

Step 2

Fold the squares in half to form triangles.

Step 3

Fold the triangle in half lightly and mark the middle point. Open it up again. Fold the tip at the bottom upwards towards the closed fold and flatten with your bone folder.

Step 4

Fold the triangles on the sides inwards flush against the edges of the triangle in the middle.

Step 5

Unfold the side triangles lightly. Now assemble the 3 folded pieces. Insert the second triangle piece into the first one as indicated.

Step 6

Repeat the same step above with the third triangle to form a long strip. Make sure that they are tucked in well at the top edge.

Step 7

Now complete the bowl by tucking in the third triangle into that of the first. Fold the bottom flaps into each other to form a secure base. I did use a small amount of Tombow adhesive to make sure the base is really strong by adhering the triangle pieces together.

And in a few seconds, you have an amazing little storage or decorative bowl for your desk to store pins, washi tape, clips and so much more in. The best part is you can use those pretty matching papers in colours to work with your craft space or home!
