I am always looking for ways to maximise my product – it may sound ridiculous to some, but once you see the possibilities you will soon become a fan too. So in preparation for the festive season I used all my scraps to make these ultra-cute miniature Christmas trees.

I can see them used in lots of different ways like for name tag holders for the festive table, mantle decorations – made in different sizes all grouped together, gift box toppers…The possibilities are endless. But I think mine will find a special place on my coffee table or beside my bed to create a little festive vignette. How about you?

Here’s how I created my miniature trees using paper scraps…

• Step 1

  Freehand cut paper scraps into squares. If you are a bit OCD you can use a square punch too.



• Step 2

  Use a 3mm circle punch and punch holes into all the squares cut.



• Step 3

  Grab some pretty flowers and punch holes into them too.



• Step 4

  Thread the paper squares and flowers onto a toothpick.



• Step 5

  Place the toothpick into a base. I used a slice of bark from a stick found in the garden. Use dimensional glaze to adhere the paper in place on the toothpick, but also in the base.

Finish the top off by adhering a pearl to the top of the toothpick using a small drop of dimensional glaze.

Finish off your trees with a light sprinkling of glitter or pink art sugar like I did.

You can make the trees any size by simply altering the size of your paper squares and using a wooden skewer instead of a toothpick.

These miniature Christmas trees are so cute and easy to craft! I can’t wait to get decorating for the festive season using these pretty colours from the gorgeous paper range by Kaisercraft!
