What on earth do you do when you don’t have fabric to colour or tie-dye? Well you do the next best thing and use what you have! I have always been a fan of roller towel and the wonderful and diverse ways that it can be used creatively.
I used these gorgeous tie-dye pieces in my art journal and the world was well again. Creating and being creative, particularly during lockdown can be challenging, but it can also be expansive and amazing.
For this fun technique, you need some clips, roller towel, KAISERmists, a shallow tub or paper plate.
Fold the roller towel into a square or rectangle and then clip the edges randomly.
Mist the roller towel using your KAISERmists in either one or two colours.
Leave the roller towel to dry first or remove the clips, open it up and leave to dry. Either way will leave you with a beautiful effect.
You can now use your beautiful tie-dye pieces in your art journals, on cards, layouts or for making flowers – the world of creativity is literally your oyster.
