Every month I am sharing some of my favourite products from The Wholesaler. This month I am sharing one of my favourite ink pads – Memento LUXE that also happens to co-inside with the inspirational colours, patterns and textures forecasted for this year.

I chose to focus my product choice in shades of pink, green and orange/red. I love how the colours in the trend forecast image work together. Use them in bold bright shades or tone them down a bit for a subtle design choice.

Inspired by the background pattern of the inspiration photo I created some quick backgrounds using my favourite Memento LUXE ink pads.

 

How will these colours inspire you?

Memento LUXE is a creamy, rich, blend-able pigment ink.

This ink pad is so versatile and today I am showing you how easy it is to use on glossy coated cardstock.

• Step 1-2

  Select some colours of Memento LUXE that are available from The Wholesaler. Eventually you will want to own the entire range because of the amazing colours. I simply had to have the pink in this range, complimenting my Memento Rose Bud pink.



• Step 2-3

  Lightly apply a layer of ink onto some glossy ATC cardstock in a circular movement. Leave for a few seconds to dry.



• Step 3-4

  Press the ink pad onto the first layer of ink. This time apply a bit more pressure to get a darker impression. Leave to dry completely.



• Step 4-5

  Ink a script stamp using the same colour ink and stamp over the entire background to add a pattern.

Now firstly note how the ink dries totally on the coated glossy cardstock – not what you would expect from a pigment ink right? Normally the ink would have to be heat set but this amazing ink dries on its own in a few minutes. This makes it a versatile ink for projects that need layering and blending.

It stamps perfectly and the colours are simply amazing. Plus I can use if on different fabric projects too. This truly is a one stop versatile ink pad.
