Mindfulness while Making – Flowers

“Checking in on everyone on what feels like day million and sixty-nine of lockdown… Some days it feels like I am sinking instead of swimming – my heart says it will be fine, but my head says something else. It is a terrible internal fight for a natural worrier.

But in all of this, I am still making… something, anything and nothing at all. I am putting ink on paper while I try and stop worrying about everything that I can’t control. Today I made some flowers. Just flowers with inks and colour and maybe one day soon these flowers will turn into something more, but for today there are no worries, just flowers and I am fine. ” ~ Jowilna Nolte

Create a fun background using bubble wrap, Memento Dew Drops, white cardstock and stamps.

Ink your bubble wrap using your Memento Dew Drops.

Mist the ink with water until the ink is just wet enough to create a watercolour effect on paper.

Lift the bubble wrap and stamp the colour onto your cardstock. Repeat this step with several ink colours one colour at a time until you are happy with the look. TIP: Remember to clean your bubble wrap in between changing your ink colours.

Stamp flower images onto your stamped background.

Use VersaFine Clair and stamp shadows on some of your flowers.

Now that you have some pretty flowers, sit back, relax, and believe. And when the time comes these beautiful flowers will turn into something special.
