Colour Blocked Cards using VersaMagic

Cards are way more fun to make when you have amazing products and colours to work with. The VersaMagic range of inks offer both of these qualities. For these cards I worked on glossy cardstock and created a fun block effect.

  • Step 1

Use the direct to paper method to colour your glossy cards. I tapped the ink pad onto my cards until they were fully coloured. Make sure you have an even smooth layer of ink. Then leave the cards to dry.

  • Step 2

Colour a variety of cards in different colours.

But the magic of the ink is that it will dry. I left my ink for a few minutes and then used roller towel to blot off the excess (yes I am impatient!) and they were ready to use.[/bsf-info-box]
  • Step 3

Cut the cards into various sizes and shapes to use on your cards.

  • Step 4

Colour a chipboard heart using the same technique with a colour of VersaMagic of your choice.

  • Step 5

Assemble your cards. I created a card with a background covered in coloured blocks and rectangles and then added decorative sewing to mimic a quilt.
