Rainbow of Colours with All-Purpose Inks
I love these little inks because of the magic you can create with them. All-Purpose Inks come in a huge variety of colours and when used together they simply look amazing. I created a fun rainbow coloured mixed media background using texture paste and All-Purpose Inks on a wooden block. Look at how I achieved this effect in a few easy steps.

Step 1
Cover a wooden block with a layer of texture paste. I used a white texture paste and applied it in a random manner with loads of texture.

Step 2
Use a pipette and drop inks colours onto the dry texture paste. Lightly mist the ink with water to make it spread out. Apply 1 colour at a time, making sure that you spread the colours all around the block.

Step 3
Apply all five colours using a pipette and mist with water. Leave the ink to set for a few minutes and then use a heat gun to dry the ink. Use a medium-sized paint brush and paint the sides of the wooden block with one of the API colours that you used on the front to finish it off.

Step 4
Once dry, add decorative elements to the coloured block. I used a clock embellishment and a resin bee element layered on top.
