Beautiful Handmade Foil Card

You can create some amazing effects with the GoPress and Foil. Add some additional details to the foiling for an even more stunning effect! For this card, I added some inking on top of the foiling with some amazing results.

  • Step 1

    Heat the Curling Motif Stamp in the GoPress and Foil.

  • Step 2

    Once hot, add the green foil, cardstock and a shim. Roll the platform through the GoCut and Emboss.

  • Step 3

    Remove the cardstock from the platform to reveal the hot foiled image.

This foil has not been heat set onto the cardstock so can be removed.[/bsf-info-box]

  • Step 4

    Stamp some wording onto a strip of cardstock using VersaFine Clair ink in brown. Trim the sentiment to fit onto the card.

  • Step 5

    To add colour to my background, I misted the foiled piece with water and then sprinkled it with Walnut ink crystals and then misted again with water. Leave the ink to dry.

Trim the background to fit onto the front of a folded card. Add your stamped sentiment to the middle of the foiled image. Finish off the card with an inked chipboard heart.

The inking on top of the foiling looks amazing. You could also ink before foiling the card and it will also look great. The foiled image creates a beautiful home for the sentiment to sit on.
