One of the reasons I think the GoPress and Foil machine is so amazing is that you can use it with whatever you have in your stash. I have lots of embossing folders and don’t use them to their full potential or nearly enough. With this new addition to my craft room, I can create beautiful effects with all my embossing folders and get even more out of them.
For this card, I wanted to create just a little something with beautiful effects. Here’s how…
-
-
Step 1
Switch on your GoPress and Foil machine and insert the metal plate. Once the plate is nice and warm, insert your piece of foil face down onto the metal plate, your cardstock piece you are foiling and then the embossing folder face down with the raised side onto the cardstock. Cover your stack with a shim. Add your B plate from your GoCut and Emboss machine and send through the machine.
-
-
-
Step 2
Remove the embossed piece of cardstock from the plate. I love how subtle and effective this foiling is.
-
-
-
Step 3
Keep the negative piece to use a little later.
-
-
-
Step 4
Use 3 different shades of green ink to blend over the foiling to add colour. I used a combination of Brilliance and Memento inks.
-
-
-
Step 5
You can still see the beautiful shimmer from the foiling with a gorgeous coloured background.
-
-
-
Step 6
Adhere the negative part of the foil to a piece of white cardstock using a glue stick. Cut strips from the cardstock piece and add some foam tape to the back.
-
-
-
Step 7
Adhere the silver foiled word strips to the matching part of the embossed card panel. This highlights the spot and makes it more of a focal point. A fun way of adding dimension and using up all those beautiful negative foiled parts.

Hello Molly,
We do not sell directly to the public. The easiest way to find a good store is to visit our Store Locator (click here: http://bit.ly/craft-stores). You can search for retail or on-line stores via the map or you can simply use the ‘Download a Simple List’ button where you can select your region and even have the option to list all on-line stores (http://bit.ly/craft-stores-online) too.
I hope this helps :)
So true, Michelle. 😊😉
