Easter is coming soon and I love all the festive pastel shades we are faced with, not to mention all those delicious eggs and treats. With Easter comes tradition and a celebration of faith so it gives an excuse to create beautiful crafts for the home and family.
For our breakfast table I made a simple table centre piece using an egg container filled with beautiful glittery eggs, paper and silk flowers, real flowers and other sparkly elements. Here’s how I created my centre piece…
-
Step 1
Paint a polystyrene egg with a layer of soft matt gel.
-
Step 2
Cover the matt gel with a layer of glitter to cover the entire white egg.
-
Step 3
Shake off the excess glitter and return it to the container. TIP: The Prima range of glitters have a handy top that removes easily for you to return the extra glitter.
-
Step 4
Paint an empty egg carton with pink paint and leave to dry.
-
Step 5
Paint the bottom of the container with a layer of copper All Purpose Ink.
Fill the container with florist fibre, the glitter eggs, candy Easter eggs, a votive with real flowers in, some bark chips, pearls, paper flowers, plastic eggs and lastly sprinkle the piece with some gold mica flakes and glass glitter.
A really beautiful and delicate Easter table centre piece for your breakfast table, made from recycled containers – fresh and beautiful!
