  5. Die Cut Every Day Card

Creating cards for men can be quite hard since the obvious choice of flowers and pink may not work. So what better way to create a fun colourful card, than to use a random stencil design and fun cutting die all on top of a brightly coloured background.

I love this versatile cutting die from Uniquely Creative and it truly cuts like a hot knife through butter – making my day as there is no struggling with the fine detailed bits.

Step 1

I used a stencil and some red texture paste to stencil thin lines onto a smooth white background. Once dry, I added colour using my trusted Memento and Versamagic Dew Drop ink pads.

Step 2

Add some grunge textures stamped onto the background using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. I used the stamps without an acrylic block for an imperfect look.

Step 3

Die cut the sentiment out of red cardstock {I used left-over paste smeared cardstock for this} and then some grey AC Cardstock for the second cut.

Step 4

Trim the background panel to fit onto a folded card panel and adhere using Tombow Mono Multi. Then adhere the grey outline and the red letters to the card panel. Finish off with an added sentiment and some diamante.

And in a few easy steps, you’ve created a gorgeous card using a truly versatile cutting die, amazing inks and some fun textured stamps. Now what guy wouldn’t appreciate a fun card like this?
