This year most importantly, I am putting some of those gorgeous Anna Griffin mediums on my wish list for Santa. I am pretty sure he knows where to find them and The Wholesaler would be more than happy to oblige in helping Santa get the right mix together for me.
To add colour and shimmer to my wish list I am also including some Tsukineko All Purpose Inks and some Anna Griffin glitter. Together all these products can be combined to make spectacular projects with texture and colour.
For my artistic block, I used an old demo block and recycled it. I have loads of items which I demo on when I do a step x step and this little block finally became something.
I covered the block in several layers of white finish texture paste. While the paste was still wet I gave it a light sprinkle with glitter and left it to dry.
Once the paste was dry I add 3 colours of All Purpose Inks using a pipette and misted it with water to move the inks around. A heat gun was used to speed up the drying process.
A trio of wooden hearts adhered to the textured background makes for a simple and interesting artistic block – the perfect home décor piece with an interesting look.
So Dear Santa…I have been mostly good.
