Dazzling Blue Lady Pattern Paper – How to with Jowilna

Travel journals have become very popular in the last couple of years. They are so easy to make and perfect for gifts when travelling with family and friends. Adjust the size to make them really compact to fit into a backpack for quick and convenient jotting down of notes. This beautiful Dazzling Blue Lady Pattern Paper is perfect for my next trip down to the coast.

  • Step 1

Fold all your paper sheets in half lengthways using a bone folder. I kept the barcodes in tact on this step.

  • Step 2

Position the papers in your trimmer and cut off 3 inches from the bottom of the page – measuring from the barcode strip.

  • Step 3

Tuck the folded pages into each other to form your booklet. I used the same papers but folded them in the other direction to have both sides of the paper visible.

  • Step 4

Open the pages up to the centre of your booklet. Clip the left and right-hand side of your pages so that they stay together and in place. Use your sewing machine to sew the signature together.

  • Step 5

Make a small hole through the middle of you signature spine and thread an elastic band through or use wax cord like I did. This will act as a closure for your booklet.

Dress up your booklet with embellishments. I chose some beautiful flowers from The Wholesaler and coloured them to match the gorgeous Dazzling Blue Lady Pattern Paper.
