Remember when you started scrapbooking – the corner rounder or punch was one of the essential tools in your crafting kit? Well nowadays we are fortunate to have a selection of corner punches for scrapbooking in different sizes. I especially love the good quality punches from Couture Creations.

On this layout I combined the 5mm and 10mm corner punches together on a single layout. I used the 2 different sizes on two of the rectangles and the bigger size on the over two rectangles. It makes for a nice interesting effect on the background.

The 5mm corner rounder is a nice small rounding – delicate and perfect for cards and projects that require a corner rounding that is a bit smaller.

The 10mm larger corner rounder is perfect for a more substantial rounding.

I teamed the corner rounded background pieces with some beautiful die-cuts. I used the ADCO 724004 Couture Creations Floral Lace Collection – Bold Bouquet (90 x 90mm) die cut and cut it out of smooth yellow cardstock. To make it stand out against my background I added some dark brown inking around the edges. I love the delicate and detailed cuts from the Couture creations range of dies.

At the top of the photo I added a piece die-cut from the Vintage Signs nesting die set. I used the largest of the nesting dies and adhered it to the back of my matted photo. This gave me a nice space to add something interesting. I cut a strip of decorative barcode from my paper and added it across the top edge.

On the background I used a combination of the All-Purpose black ink and Yellow Memento LUXE inks to create an interesting and artistic effect.

I love how this combination of products from the same stable can complement each other perfectly. And with very little effort you can create a beautiful project simply by using some of those versatile and faithful products from your stash.
