Have you seen the NEW Tape Wormz from The Wholesaler? Well today I am here to introduce you to a little sticky fun using some of their wonderful proudly South African products.
But first let me ask – are you ready for Christmas? Well neither am I as yet, but with the help of some fabulous products I am slowly getting things ticked off my to-do list before we head into the silly season this year.
I had this old spray painted tin floating around the house for years now. That was until recently when I spring cleaned some things and it was either now or never – so it became the perfect now project. I started off by painting my tin in red chalk paint and covered it in a layer of dark and clear wax to highlight the brushstrokes and imperfections.
-
Step 1:
Punch a whole bunch of circles from the new Lady Pattern Papers to fit inside the tin openings. Because my circle punch was a bit too big and I wanted to add some dimension I added some of the 1.5mm double sided foam tape to each circle base. TIP: because I am not a huge fan of too much bulk this tape is the perfect thickness for me – I love it! What I love: this tape cuts clean! People you have no idea how much I love this – no sticking to my scissors and pulling tape bits off of everything. It really cuts cleanly and is off such a high quality. Simply superb!
-
Step 2:
I covered some of my chipboard elements in the patterned paper and sanded the edges to give a worn look. I used the high tack tape to adhere the letters to the circles to give them a good hold.
-
Step 3:
Print some festive printable cards and layer them onto each other using the high tack tape. Adhere them to the cake tin using the same high tack tape to ensure a secure and permanent hold. TIP: Red high tack tape is perfect for securing heavier embellishments, chipboard and papers to other surfaces like metal, plastic and wood. The tape ensures a permanent hold without any worrying that things my come undone.
Finish off your project by securing everything using your Tape Wormz products. I used only the foam tape for dimension and the RED high tack tape to secure everything else to the tin. And I am happy to report that everything is secured so well, I may not be able to recycle this project into something else.
Here’s to getting stuck into many more projects for the silly season.
