I love colours and patterns! And when you combine the two together in a single range of artistic papers then I am really happy. That’s what Kaisercraft did with the “Chase Rainbows” range of papers. Loads of colours, artistic paint effects and fun quotes on journaling cards.

I created a fun and simple layout using this gorgeous range. To complement the overall theme I added my own inked details to my background using Tsukineko’s All-Purpose Ink range. I could easily match up the colours of the papers to the ink colours and I love how the artistic effects complement each other.

I even coloured a manila tag using some of my inks and perfectly mimicked the patterns on the printed paper and the colour as well.

As embellishments I added some die-cuts out of the patterned papers, cork element circles, and then created my own elements using Kaisercraft stamps stamped in a creamy brown ink pad to mimic the cork element.

With a few stamps and lots of beautiful colours I created a layout that is filled with interest and vibrancy – and without spending too much on unnecessary embellishments. It just goes to show – a beautiful range of papers is all you really need, apart from a few good inks for having loads of creative fun.
