Not only is your embossing folder really useful for scoring and making cards, burnishing paper and elements in mixed media, but you can also create some stunning effects. Take a look at how I created this stunning card with a really simple but effective pattern using my bone folder.
-
Step 1
Grab your bone folder, a metal ruler, smooth white cardstock and some inks.
-
Step 2
Use your bone folder and metal ruler to score lines horizontally and vertically across a piece of white cardstock. I just spaced the lines evenly to create a grid effect.
-
Step 3
Once you have scored the lines, ink the bottom edge of your card using 1 colour of VersaFine Clair ink and a dauber.
-
Step 4
Use a second colour of VersaFine Clair ink and a dauber and blend the second colour at the top of your cardstock piece. Blend over the first colour a bit to make sure your blending is seamless.
-
Step 5
Mix a small amount of All-Purpose ink Champagne Mist into a spray bottle with some water and shake well. Lightly mist over the inked piece to give a beautiful shimmery effect.
