Become More Organized in 2018 – Jowilna’s How To

To become more organized, I have been blessed with this gorgeous planner from Kaisercraft. It is so pretty that one can’t help but be inspired. So this year I am getting my coloured markers in a row and getting this planning ahead thing ticked – I may not totally succeed but at least I am trying. How about you?

And although I am not totally on board with the whole planner addiction of dressing up my planner with loads of stickers and creative elements I am going to make it creative and visual in my own way. Something that suits me visually but also keeps me focused without losing sight of what is really important, and what I am really trying to achieve here.

My approach is simple – grab a few of my favourite markers, inks, a stamp or two and some coloured pens.

I love this navy planner with its’ pops of colour in mint and pink and loads of gold. The beautiful divider pages with quotes are pure inspiration.

The inside is perfect to house your sticker sheets and sticky notes.

I created a file on the computer with squares that will fit into the squares of each month. This is my way of simplifying things and I can work ahead of time and simply adhere the squares in place with my Tape Wormz tape. Plus if I write it y planner and make a mistake I will have to tear out the entire page and start again.

The most important dates will be highlighted with shapes. Here I die-cut a gold star out of glitter cardstock and adhered it on the relevant date. In the side of my planner I will re-create the star with a description making it a bit more planner like.

A few creative ink splats stamped onto the background are perfect for my messy and yet clean and simple style. As I go along I will be more adventurous but for now I am settling in creatively and focussing more on what I need to achieve than a whole bunch of stuff to clutter my planning stages.

I do however look forward to less busy months and days where I will for sure experiment and be more creative. So watch this space as I share how I will create and plan during the coming weeks.

  • Ag wonderik! Ek het ook die jaar die “planner” ding aangepak as ‘n “memory planner” om spesiale goed te kan onthou wanneer ek dit wil scrap! Ek geniet myself gate uit!
