The problem is that there are not always beautiful boy products available on the market \u2013 but thankfully manufacturers and designers are starting to cater more and more for the male figures in our lives.<\/h3>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/BasicGrey-Bow-Ties-Playing-Cars-Layout.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/BasicGrey-Bow-Ties-Playing-Cars-Layout.jpg\" alt=\"BasicGrey - Bow Ties - Playing Cars Layout\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Knee Highs &#038; Bow Ties range from BasicGrey is wonderful and so very versatile. The range includes cool cars and beautiful bugs which enables you to make loads of pages in either theme \u2013 I can go bugs for my dogs and cars for my little nephew \u2013 how cool is that. Just take the sticker sheet for instance \u2013 there are loads of cool banners, cars and words to use and then twice as many bugs and circles for more layouts and cards. Bang for my bucks!<\/p>\n<p>This week\u2019s project is a layout, but what I really loved about the layout is that I could use the \u2018BIG\u2019 silhouette stamp to create fun accents on my layout. What makes the stamp so much fun is that you can incorporate it so easily and simply by changing the product you use to stamp with you can change the look of your project. I used my all-time favourite ink pad for stamping the dark brown images \u2013 VersaFine Vintage Sepia. I then punched circles out of the stamped cardstock and used them across my layout.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/BasicGrey-Bow-Ties-Stamping.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/BasicGrey-Bow-Ties-Stamping.jpg\" alt=\"BasicGrey - Bow Ties Stamping\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>About VersaFine Ink Pads<\/h2>\n<p>VersaFine is an extremely wet ink \u2013 so you need to apply it the right way and you will get a perfect image every time.<br \/>\nIf you battle to stamp this is the ink pad for you \u2013 it\u2019s a soft on the stamp ink so transfers the images beautifully and easily, even if you have arthritis in your hands and fingers.<br \/>\nVersaFine is an ink that will give you extremely fine detail even with the most delicate of stamp images, but also works perfectly with bolder images and lettering.<br \/>\nYou are able to watercolor or marker over and it won&#8217;t bleed \u2013 yeah!<br \/>\nVersaFine is a natural oil-based pigment ink that dries instantly on matte cardstock and can even be heat set with a heat gun on smooth slightly shiny cardstock.<br \/>\nVersaFine Inkpads will last 3-5 times longer than regular inks which make them very economical.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/BasicGrey-Bow-Ties-Sewing.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/BasicGrey-Bow-Ties-Sewing.jpg\" alt=\"BasicGrey - Bow Ties Sewing\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n[custom_list type=&#8221;dot&#8221;]\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Step 1<\/h3>\n<p> Always ink your stamp by taking your ink pad to your stamp. Lightly tap the ink onto the stamp to ensure an even layer of ink.<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Step 2<\/h3>\n<p> Turn over the stamp and place it onto your cardstock. Apply an even amount of pressure to the stamp all over, hold your cardstock and lift the stamp to reveal the image.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>TIP:<\/strong> because the stamp is so large and it requires a large acrylic block it is always a bit harder to handle. Make sure that you have a nice steady grip on the block and avoid dropping the stamp or rocking it on your cardstock otherwise you will end up with a \u2018halo\u2019 effect on the image.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Now it\u2019s your turn to use your stamps to create your own accents for your layouts and cards. I started off my career in retail working in a paper shop importing handmade speciality papers from japan, Canada, India and America. We also imported a range of rubber stamps (PSX), along with Ranger Products, and Tsukineko to mention a few. This was all back in 2000. I moved to the wholesale part of the business and got involved in window dressing and opening a second flagship store for the company while the owners were overseas. I have travelled extensively to America visiting CHA and Frankfurt Germany to their biggest paper trade show \u201cPaperworld\u201d where I gained valuable knowledge regarding the industry. After a whirlwind love affair with the business I headed off into the sunset to fulfil my second dream by working in publishing. I started off as Technical Editor on a scrapbooking magazine and worked on several other craft publications in the company as well. But this was not enough \u2013 after a long journey I started my own scrapbooking magazine, which transformed into writing a real book book as opposed to a magazine book, and the rest is history. I am currently a best-selling author in the craft industry with my book \u201cScrap-Boek\u201d being the fourth best seller in South Africa and currently in second print. I am a freelance artist doing work for various companies such as Caxton Magazines that includes Rooi Rose and Bona Magazine to mention a few. I travel regularly to various shows teaching and presenting lectures on scrapbooking, card-making and creativity. I have been published several times in American publications such as Taken Ten Magazine, Catch Up Issue \u2013 both Somerset Publications. I was also asked to be a guest artist by Taken Ten Magazine for one of their issues in which an entire article was dedicated to my work. In December 2011, I made my television debut by presenting Christmas Crafts on 3 Talk with Noeleen. After a bit of a sabbatical with my on-line classroom website Scrapcouture, we are busy revamping it with a fresh new approach to bringing creativity and new techniques to people all over the world. Other than that I spend lots of time scrapbooking and making cards and teaching classes weekly in Gauteng as well as throughout South Africa. I started off my career in retail working in a paper shop importing handmade speciality papers from japan, Canada, India and America. We also imported a range of rubber stamps (PSX), along with Ranger Products, and Tsukineko to mention a few. This was all back in 2000. I moved to the wholesale part of the business and got involved in window dressing and opening a second flagship store for the company while the owners were overseas. I have travelled extensively to America visiting CHA and Frankfurt Germany to their biggest paper trade show \u201cPaperworld\u201d where I gained valuable knowledge regarding the industry. After a whirlwind love affair with the business I headed off into the sunset to fulfil my second dream by working in publishing. I started off as Technical Editor on a scrapbooking magazine and worked on several other craft publications in the company as well. But this was not enough \u2013 after a long journey I started my own scrapbooking magazine, which transformed into writing a real book book as opposed to a magazine book, and the rest is history. I am currently a best-selling author in the craft industry with my book \u201cScrap-Boek\u201d being the fourth best seller in South Africa and currently in second print. I am a freelance artist doing work for various companies such as Caxton Magazines that includes Rooi Rose and Bona Magazine to mention a few. I travel regularly to various shows teaching and presenting lectures on scrapbooking, card-making and creativity. I have been published several times in American publications such as Taken Ten Magazine, Catch Up Issue \u2013 both Somerset Publications. I was also asked to be a guest artist by Taken Ten Magazine for one of their issues in which an entire article was dedicated to my work. In December 2011, I made my television debut by presenting Christmas Crafts on 3 Talk with Noeleen. After a bit of a sabbatical with my on-line classroom website Scrapcouture, we are busy revamping it with a fresh new approach to bringing creativity and new techniques to people all over the world. Other than that I spend lots of time scrapbooking and making cards and teaching classes weekly in Gauteng as well as throughout South Africa. I am passionate about what I do and I have had many amazing experiences and met so many famous people throughout my creative journey.
