Glitter Paper"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>The first time I laid my eyes onto a sheet of glitter paper it was magical \u2013 like nothing I had ever seen before \u2013 it was aqua. I am not talking the coarse almost embarrassingly bulky and butch glitter papers you found 15 years ago \u2013 these were delicate and pretty and feminine and ready to be flaunted for everyone to see. They were POW!<\/h3>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/POW-Glitter-Paper-Thread.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/POW-Glitter-Paper-Thread.jpg\" alt=\"POW! Glitter Paper - Thread\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>POW! Is a single-sided, 12&#215;12 glitter paper, available in a variety of colours that never rub off. Unlike the glitter paper that you can make yourself and leave a very evident trial for weeks on end wherever you go, this paper will leave no evidence. The shine is incredible and the texture just perfect for die-cutting into tangible shapes that you will love to touch. If I haven\u2019t convinced you by now that you should love this paper it\u2019s clear to me that you do not have a love of bling like most scrappers do! And that\u2019s OK \u2013 for the rest of us there will be just so much more to play with in our scrapbooks, cards and off the page projects.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/POW-Glitter-Paper-She-Sparkles-Layout.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/POW-Glitter-Paper-She-Sparkles-Layout.jpg\" alt=\"POW! Glitter Paper - She Sparkles Layout\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>She Sparkles \u2013 A Layout<\/h2>\n<p>For my project this week I chose some of the beautiful <a title=\"POW! Glitter Paper\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/POW-Glitter-Paper\">POW! Glitter Papers<\/a> and placed the focus on them as the main element used on my layout. The colours complement each other beautifully even when used so close together with each other. I used the gold as a band running down the edge of my layout acting as a foundation and then added hints of aqua in circles and flowers to create flow and movement across the page. Accents of brown glitter (rocky road) were used in small pieces scattered across the double page spread. The colour combination makes for a peaceful layout that can be used for any theme &#8211; after all the memories are the important thing and the bling well that is a bonus. <\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/POW-Glitter-Paper-Punched-Flowers.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/POW-Glitter-Paper-Punched-Flowers.jpg\" alt=\"POW! Glitter Paper - Punched Flowers\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Things you should know about glitter paper<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It is available in different weights \u2013 some are thicker than others<\/li>\n<li>The thin glitter papers are fine to punch but the thicker ones will jam and harm your punches<\/li>\n<li>Die-cutting shapes in your Cuttlebug is perfectly fine on the thicker glitter papers and looks beautiful<\/li>\n<li>Matting photos or elements onto the glitter paper itself can be tricky. I normally combine double sided tape and Tombow Mono Multi on the element or photo I am adhering to make sure of a nice strong bond<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/POW-Glitter-Paper-Buttons.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/POW-Glitter-Paper-Buttons.jpg\" alt=\"POW! I started off my career in retail working in a paper shop importing handmade speciality papers from japan, Canada, India and America. We also imported a range of rubber stamps (PSX), along with Ranger Products, and Tsukineko to mention a few. This was all back in 2000. I moved to the wholesale part of the business and got involved in window dressing and opening a second flagship store for the company while the owners were overseas. I have travelled extensively to America visiting CHA and Frankfurt Germany to their biggest paper trade show \u201cPaperworld\u201d where I gained valuable knowledge regarding the industry. After a whirlwind love affair with the business I headed off into the sunset to fulfil my second dream by working in publishing. I started off as Technical Editor on a scrapbooking magazine and worked on several other craft publications in the company as well. But this was not enough \u2013 after a long journey I started my own scrapbooking magazine, which transformed into writing a real book book as opposed to a magazine book, and the rest is history. I am currently a best-selling author in the craft industry with my book \u201cScrap-Boek\u201d being the fourth best seller in South Africa and currently in second print. I am a freelance artist doing work for various companies such as Caxton Magazines that includes Rooi Rose and Bona Magazine to mention a few. I travel regularly to various shows teaching and presenting lectures on scrapbooking, card-making and creativity. I have been published several times in American publications such as Taken Ten Magazine, Catch Up Issue \u2013 both Somerset Publications. I was also asked to be a guest artist by Taken Ten Magazine for one of their issues in which an entire article was dedicated to my work. In December 2011, I made my television debut by presenting Christmas Crafts on 3 Talk with Noeleen. After a bit of a sabbatical with my on-line classroom website Scrapcouture, we are busy revamping it with a fresh new approach to bringing creativity and new techniques to people all over the world. Other than that I spend lots of time scrapbooking and making cards and teaching classes weekly in Gauteng as well as throughout South Africa. I am passionate about what I do and I have had many amazing experiences and met so many famous people throughout my creative journey. I started off my career in retail working in a paper shop importing handmade speciality papers from japan, Canada, India and America. We also imported a range of rubber stamps (PSX), along with Ranger Products, and Tsukineko to mention a few. This was all back in 2000. I moved to the wholesale part of the business and got involved in window dressing and opening a second flagship store for the company while the owners were overseas. I have travelled extensively to America visiting CHA and Frankfurt Germany to their biggest paper trade show \u201cPaperworld\u201d where I gained valuable knowledge regarding the industry. After a whirlwind love affair with the business I headed off into the sunset to fulfil my second dream by working in publishing. I started off as Technical Editor on a scrapbooking magazine and worked on several other craft publications in the company as well. But this was not enough \u2013 after a long journey I started my own scrapbooking magazine, which transformed into writing a real book book as opposed to a magazine book, and the rest is history. I am currently a best-selling author in the craft industry with my book \u201cScrap-Boek\u201d being the fourth best seller in South Africa and currently in second print. I am a freelance artist doing work for various companies such as Caxton Magazines that includes Rooi Rose and Bona Magazine to mention a few. I travel regularly to various shows teaching and presenting lectures on scrapbooking, card-making and creativity. I have been published several times in American publications such as Taken Ten Magazine, Catch Up Issue \u2013 both Somerset Publications. I was also asked to be a guest artist by Taken Ten Magazine for one of their issues in which an entire article was dedicated to my work. In December 2011, I made my television debut by presenting Christmas Crafts on 3 Talk with Noeleen. After a bit of a sabbatical with my on-line classroom website Scrapcouture, we are busy revamping it with a fresh new approach to bringing creativity and new techniques to people all over the world. Other than that I spend lots of time scrapbooking and making cards and teaching classes weekly in Gauteng as well as throughout South Africa. I am passionate about what I do and I have had many amazing experiences and met so many famous people throughout my creative journey.
