So when the opportunity arises I want to capture those special moments in an equally special way.<\/h3>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/All-Aboard-Island-Style-Layout.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/All-Aboard-Island-Style-Layout.jpg\" alt=\"Papermania All Aboard - Island Style Layout\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is what I did with these photos from way back when \u2013 I was lucky enough to go on a cruise and visit the islands off the African coast. The photos were never really scrapped in a decent way and when I first saw the new All Aboard range of <em>Papermania <\/em>(<em>docrafts&reg;<\/em>) products I knew it was time to revisit some older memories. The colours and designs on this range of products are so versatile \u2013 ready and willing for any travel related photos to be scrapped beautifully.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Papermania-All-Aboard-Ribbon-Clips.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Papermania-All-Aboard-Ribbon-Clips.jpg\" alt=\"Papermania - All Aboard - Ribbon Clips\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Here\u2019s how I completed my Papermania All Aboard layout<\/h3>\n[custom_list type=&#8221;dot&#8221;]\n<ul>\n<li>Cut the map patterned paper measuring30.5 x21cm (12&#215;8\u00bc inches).<\/li>\n<li>Cut a strip from the travel notes lined paper measuring10 x25.5cm (4x10inches)<\/li>\n<li>Cut a strip of the multi-coloured luggage and camera paper measuring 6.5&#215;30.5cm (2.5x12inches).<\/li>\n<li>Take 2 postcards \/labels from the label pack to be used. These will be trimmed to fit later. They roughly measure 2.5 inches on the left side and the remainder measures 1 \u00bc inch on the right side.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere the map paper 5cm from the right hand edge and overlapping 5cm onto the left hand page.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere the lined paper towards the left of the map paper flush with the edge of the map paper and vertically centred.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere the long multi coloured strip flush with the ledger paper and flush with the top and bottom edges of the background.<\/li>\n<li>Now trim the postcard\/labels short to fit into the space on the left and adhere the cut off pieces on the right side of the map paper on the opposite edge. Refer to measurements at the top.<\/li>\n<li>For the left side of your layout matt 3 landscape photos measuring 5&#215;3 inches (13&#215;7.5cm) onto brown cardstock and adhere the photos as per the sample. These photos are positioned 9.5cm from the left edge and centred from the top and bottom edges.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>*TIP &#8211; To add the ribbon clips to some of the photos, I used pop dots behind the photo matts of those photos to raise them slightly so that the paper clips can easily be added. To keep them in place you can add a small glue dot behind the ribbon once you are happy with the positioning.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Matt the 2 portrait jumbo photos onto craft cardstock and then onto brown cardstock. For the jumbo photo on the left I matted the photo onto the craft cardstock and then angled it slightly before adhering it onto the brown cardstock matt.<\/li>\n<li>To join the 2 pages together visually I used some of the beautiful All Aboard printed craft tape and tore different pieces overlapping them across the centre of the layout. I started off my career in retail working in a paper shop importing handmade speciality papers from japan, Canada, India and America. We also imported a range of rubber stamps (PSX), along with Ranger Products, and Tsukineko to mention a few. This was all back in 2000. I moved to the wholesale part of the business and got involved in window dressing and opening a second flagship store for the company while the owners were overseas. I have travelled extensively to America visiting CHA and Frankfurt Germany to their biggest paper trade show \u201cPaperworld\u201d where I gained valuable knowledge regarding the industry. After a whirlwind love affair with the business I headed off into the sunset to fulfil my second dream by working in publishing. I started off as Technical Editor on a scrapbooking magazine and worked on several other craft publications in the company as well. But this was not enough \u2013 after a long journey I started my own scrapbooking magazine, which transformed into writing a real book book as opposed to a magazine book, and the rest is history. I am currently a best-selling author in the craft industry with my book \u201cScrap-Boek\u201d being the fourth best seller in South Africa and currently in second print. I am a freelance artist doing work for various companies such as Caxton Magazines that includes Rooi Rose and Bona Magazine to mention a few. I travel regularly to various shows teaching and presenting lectures on scrapbooking, card-making and creativity. I have been published several times in American publications such as Taken Ten Magazine, Catch Up Issue \u2013 both Somerset Publications. I was also asked to be a guest artist by Taken Ten Magazine for one of their issues in which an entire article was dedicated to my work. In December 2011, I made my television debut by presenting Christmas Crafts on 3 Talk with Noeleen. After a bit of a sabbatical with my on-line classroom website Scrapcouture, we are busy revamping it with a fresh new approach to bringing creativity and new techniques to people all over the world. Other than that I spend lots of time scrapbooking and making cards and teaching classes weekly in Gauteng as well as throughout South Africa. I am passionate about what I do and I have had many amazing experiences and met so many famous people throughout my creative journey. I started off my career in retail working in a paper shop importing handmade speciality papers from japan, Canada, India and America. We also imported a range of rubber stamps (PSX), along with Ranger Products, and Tsukineko to mention a few. This was all back in 2000. I moved to the wholesale part of the business and got involved in window dressing and opening a second flagship store for the company while the owners were overseas. I have travelled extensively to America visiting CHA and Frankfurt Germany to their biggest paper trade show \u201cPaperworld\u201d where I gained valuable knowledge regarding the industry. After a whirlwind love affair with the business I headed off into the sunset to fulfil my second dream by working in publishing. I started off as Technical Editor on a scrapbooking magazine and worked on several other craft publications in the company as well. But this was not enough \u2013 after a long journey I started my own scrapbooking magazine, which transformed into writing a real book book as opposed to a magazine book, and the rest is history. I am currently a best-selling author in the craft industry with my book \u201cScrap-Boek\u201d being the fourth best seller in South Africa and currently in second print. I am a freelance artist doing work for various companies such as Caxton Magazines that includes Rooi Rose and Bona Magazine to mention a few. I travel regularly to various shows teaching and presenting lectures on scrapbooking, card-making and creativity. I have been published several times in American publications such as Taken Ten Magazine, Catch Up Issue \u2013 both Somerset Publications. I was also asked to be a guest artist by Taken Ten Magazine for one of their issues in which an entire article was dedicated to my work. In December 2011, I made my television debut by presenting Christmas Crafts on 3 Talk with Noeleen. After a bit of a sabbatical with my on-line classroom website Scrapcouture, we are busy revamping it with a fresh new approach to bringing creativity and new techniques to people all over the world. Other than that I spend lots of time scrapbooking and making cards and teaching classes weekly in Gauteng as well as throughout South Africa. I am passionate about what I do and I have had many amazing experiences and met so many famous people throughout my creative journey.
