The classic images are perfect for cards, but even more perfect for formal invitations. So often people ask for invitations and cards with a classic evening look in black and white \u2013 and the Art Deco papers and stamps are perfect for just that. I can envision beautiful creations for Matric Dances, Weddings, Anniversaries and special celebrations all round.<\/h3>\n<p>For my project I wanted to include the lovely frame embossing folder. To create a special card I used the embossing folder as my design starting point. <\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" title=\"docrafts - Art Deco Card\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/docrafts-Art-Deco-Card.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/docrafts-Art-Deco-Card.jpg\" alt=\"docrafts - Art Deco Card\" title=\"docrafts - Art Deco Card\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Here\u2019s how I went about designing my card.<\/h3>\n<p>I first embossed the frame onto a plain piece of cardstock. Then I added colour and texture using different mediums like glitter glue, pearls, diamant\u00e9 and paint to add highlights to the stamped image.<br \/>\nI cut a piece of the black and gold foiled paper slightly smaller than my card.<br \/>\nAdhere the embossed piece to the right side of the black foiled paper.<br \/>\nThen adhere a strip of purple patterned paper to the left edge of the embossed and stamped piece.<br \/>\nAdd a foil die-cut sentiment flush with the left edge of the card spine. Decorate the edges by adding sewing using a sewing machine.<br \/>\nFinish off your card using diamant\u00e9, rhinestones, pearls and glitter glue.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" title=\"docrafts - Art Deco Card - Rhinestones\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/docrafts-Art-Deco-Card-Rhinestones.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/docrafts-Art-Deco-Card-Rhinestones.jpg\" alt=\"docrafts - Art Deco Card - Rhinestones\" title=\"docrafts - Art Deco Card - Rhinestones\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This card is made really easy by using the matching elements found in the Art Deco Range of products. Add definition to the stamped images using Artiste Dual Tip Brush Markers in black and purple.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" title=\"docrafts - Art Deco Card Step 3\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/docrafts-Art-Deco-Card-Step-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/docrafts-Art-Deco-Card-Step-3.jpg\" alt=\"docrafts - Art Deco Card Step 3\" title=\"docrafts - Art Deco Card Step 3\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Tip<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>For added shine I combined the Brush markers with some pearl pigment powders to form a paintable medium.
