With my Cricut Maker, it is so easy to create customized items for special occasions like baby showers and weddings. Best of all is that I don\u2019t always have to come up with the designs. With thousands of pre-loaded designs in Design Space, I can simply customize a design to fit my need, cut and assemble. Quick and easy.<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>

How to:<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>

The bunting was cut out of 2 different coloured cardstock pieces and then assembled. For the decorative elements, I added some cut hearts. These were embossed using embossing powder in matching colours and then finished off with pearls and diamante.<\/p>\n

For the apple pie jars, I used the print and cut function. First printing the little elephants onto white cardstock and then cutting them into circles to fit onto the lids. This took me all of 5 minutes to do.<\/p>\n

As for the tags on the popcorn bags, these were printed onto thicker cardstock and had straight edges. I simply positioned them onto my cutting mat, lined up the designs in Design Space and then trimmed them into tags. This way I could ensure the edges were straight and all the same \u2013 no more scissors and templates \u2013 just a quick cut and everything is done.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Step 1<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>

Cut the base of the bunting out of mint green cardstock. I used light grey for some of the top layers and a metallic silver for hearts and some of the layers.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Step 2<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>

The letters were also cut out of silver metallic cardstock \u2013 the Cricut Maker cut this perfectly using my normal Fine Point Blade.<\/p>\n

TIP: When I cut something like the hearts, I always cut more than what I need and in different sizes and then keep them in a plastic pouch or container. Next time I need a heart I simply go to my container and pull one out \u2013 this way I don\u2019t always have to start up my machine to cut one little heart.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Step 3<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>

Start assembling your bunting by adhering the top layers to the base layer.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Step 4<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>

Adhere the letters and embossed hearts. Use foam tape for some of the hearts to create dimension.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Use your Cricut Maker to cut ordinary printed cards into tags \u2013 quick and easy. Punch or cut holes into the tags and then use baker\u2019s twine to tie them onto the popcorn bags.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
