I think most crafters have a love-hate relationship with Prima &#8211; the reason being that they have the most wonderful selection of flowers, papers and matching embellishments within each range. My love relationship with Prima is just that \u2013 I love their absolutely amazing range of flowers. I can sit and stare at a bowl of beautiful Prima flowers for hours and it just makes me happy \u2013 the softness and beauty can make anyone forget about the not so beautiful world out there. Prima flowers are therapeutic!<\/h3>\n<p>There I said it \u2013 something tangible and man-made is beautiful and they make me feel good even if I don\u2019t use them that often. The other things I love about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Prima\" title=\"Prima Collections\">Prima<\/a> are the amazing quality of papers and matching embellishments. They truly are market leaders when it comes to innovative and trendy new stuff to use in conjunction with their basic scrapping and crafting elements.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" title=\"Prima - Rondelle Card Box Front\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Prima-Rondelle-Card-Box-Front.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Prima-Rondelle-Card-Box-Front.jpg\" alt=\"Prima - Rondelle Card Box Front\" title=\"Prima - Rondelle Card Box Front\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So this time around I wanted to stretch my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Prima\" title=\"Prima Collections\">Prima<\/a> supplies as much as possible and at the same time stretch my crafting as well \u2013 make sense? Maybe it is the fact that I just love the stuff so much that I want it to last forever. I turned a recycled cooking box into a \u2018grab and go\u2019 note box complete with tags, small not cards and envelopes. This project is a special gift for a friend that is always in need of small note cards for friends and family.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" title=\"Prima - Rondelle Card Box\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Prima-Rondelle-Card-Box.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Prima-Rondelle-Card-Box.jpg\" alt=\"Prima - Rondelle Card Box\" title=\"Prima - Rondelle Card Box\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Note Box How To<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Use a small biscuit or rusk box and remove all contents. Use a ruler and pencil to determine the height of your box measuring from the bottom upwards.<\/li>\n<li>Use a craft knife and cut through the box. Use your sanding block and sand the edges to smooth them out and neaten them off.<\/li>\n<li>Cut a strip of patterned paper the height of the box and adhere all around the edge using double sided tape.<\/li>\n<li>Cut a piece of cardboard the size of the base of your box to add strength and adhere it inside the box.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" title=\"Prima - Rondelle Card Flower\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Prima-Rondelle-Card-Flower.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Prima-Rondelle-Card-Flower.jpg\" alt=\"Prima - Rondelle Card Flower\" title=\"Prima - Rondelle Card Flower\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Inside the Box<\/h2>\n<p>I used the beautiful <a title=\"Prima - Rondelle\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Prima\">Rondelle<\/a> collection to create quick and easy cards and tags. These can be used attached to small gifts as little thank you note. I love how I was able to stretch the beautiful Crystal Border and use it on most of my cards simply by cutting it up into smaller pieces.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the patterned papers have elements that can be fuzzy cut and used on smaller cards as details. The flowers are cut and layered on top of each for dimension using pop dots. Have I mentioned how much I love <a title=\"Glue Dots\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Adhesives\">pop dots<\/a> \u2013 and that they cling for dear life which is a real bonus.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" title=\"Prima - Rondelle Card Diamond\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Prima-Rondelle-Card-Diamond.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Prima-Rondelle-Card-Diamond.jpg\" alt=\"Prima - Rondelle Card Diamond\" title=\"Prima - Rondelle Card Diamond\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Stretching Your Supplies<\/h2>\n<p>I used a Crystal border and cut it into several pieces separating the clusters from the thin strands of pearls and diamante to form little accents that can be used on their own. I started off my career in retail working in a paper shop importing handmade speciality papers from japan, Canada, India and America. We also imported a range of rubber stamps (PSX), along with Ranger Products, and Tsukineko to mention a few. This was all back in 2000. I moved to the wholesale part of the business and got involved in window dressing and opening a second flagship store for the company while the owners were overseas. I have travelled extensively to America visiting CHA and Frankfurt Germany to their biggest paper trade show \u201cPaperworld\u201d where I gained valuable knowledge regarding the industry. After a whirlwind love affair with the business I headed off into the sunset to fulfil my second dream by working in publishing. I started off as Technical Editor on a scrapbooking magazine and worked on several other craft publications in the company as well. But this was not enough \u2013 after a long journey I started my own scrapbooking magazine, which transformed into writing a real book book as opposed to a magazine book, and the rest is history. I am currently a best-selling author in the craft industry with my book \u201cScrap-Boek\u201d being the fourth best seller in South Africa and currently in second print. I am a freelance artist doing work for various companies such as Caxton Magazines that includes Rooi Rose and Bona Magazine to mention a few. I travel regularly to various shows teaching and presenting lectures on scrapbooking, card-making and creativity. I have been published several times in American publications such as Taken Ten Magazine, Catch Up Issue \u2013 both Somerset Publications. I was also asked to be a guest artist by Taken Ten Magazine for one of their issues in which an entire article was dedicated to my work. In December 2011, I made my television debut by presenting Christmas Crafts on 3 Talk with Noeleen. After a bit of a sabbatical with my on-line classroom website Scrapcouture, we are busy revamping it with a fresh new approach to bringing creativity and new techniques to people all over the world. Other than that I spend lots of time scrapbooking and making cards and teaching classes weekly in Gauteng as well as throughout South Africa. I am passionate about what I do and I have had many amazing experiences and met so many famous people throughout my creative journey. I started off my career in retail working in a paper shop importing handmade speciality papers from japan, Canada, India and America. We also imported a range of rubber stamps (PSX), along with Ranger Products, and Tsukineko to mention a few. This was all back in 2000. I moved to the wholesale part of the business and got involved in window dressing and opening a second flagship store for the company while the owners were overseas. I have travelled extensively to America visiting CHA and Frankfurt Germany to their biggest paper trade show \u201cPaperworld\u201d where I gained valuable knowledge regarding the industry. After a whirlwind love affair with the business I headed off into the sunset to fulfil my second dream by working in publishing. I started off as Technical Editor on a scrapbooking magazine and worked on several other craft publications in the company as well. But this was not enough \u2013 after a long journey I started my own scrapbooking magazine, which transformed into writing a real book book as opposed to a magazine book, and the rest is history. I am currently a best-selling author in the craft industry with my book \u201cScrap-Boek\u201d being the fourth best seller in South Africa and currently in second print. I am a freelance artist doing work for various companies such as Caxton Magazines that includes Rooi Rose and Bona Magazine to mention a few. I travel regularly to various shows teaching and presenting lectures on scrapbooking, card-making and creativity. I have been published several times in American publications such as Taken Ten Magazine, Catch Up Issue \u2013 both Somerset Publications. I was also asked to be a guest artist by Taken Ten Magazine for one of their issues in which an entire article was dedicated to my work. In December 2011, I made my television debut by presenting Christmas Crafts on 3 Talk with Noeleen. After a bit of a sabbatical with my on-line classroom website Scrapcouture, we are busy revamping it with a fresh new approach to bringing creativity and new techniques to people all over the world. Other than that I spend lots of time scrapbooking and making cards and teaching classes weekly in Gauteng as well as throughout South Africa. I am passionate about what I do and I have had many amazing experiences and met so many famous people throughout my creative journey.
