And that\u2019s why I love the new Teresa Collins Christmas Cottage range. I think this range is beautiful uncomplicated and real \u2013 it has a Christmas feel to it and yet it has an air of simplicity about it.<\/h3>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" title=\"Teresa Collins Christmas Cottage Ornament Card\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Teresa-Collins-Christmas-Cottage-Ornament-Card.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Teresa-Collins-Christmas-Cottage-Ornament-Card.jpg\" alt=\"Teresa Collins - Christmas Cottage Ornament Card\" title=\"Teresa Collins - Christmas Cottage Ornament Card\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So for this festive season and I wanted to create a range of dimensional cards that can act as a little gift as well. This card is just that. Plus I used my favourite shape to create this easy to re-create card \u2013 circles! I used a combination of folded circles to create a Christmas Bauble and adhered it to the front of my card. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Tip<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>As an alternative you can create the baubles and use them on your tree as ornaments which are a beautiful handmade alternative to store bought and commercial elements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Here\u2019s how to make this card<\/h2>\n<p>How to make your dimensional Christmas Bauble<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Step 1<\/h3>\n<p>Use a large circle punch and punch at least 10 circles from patterned paper. I used a 3\u201d (7.5cm) circle punch. Double sided paper works well as it gives you twice the visual appeal.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" title=\"Teresa Collins - Christmas Cottage Card Step 1\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Teresa-Collins-Christmas-Cottage-Card-Step-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Teresa-Collins-Christmas-Cottage-Card-Step-1.jpg\" alt=\"Teresa Collins - Christmas Cottage Card Step 1\" title=\"Teresa Collins - Christmas Cottage Card Step 1\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Step 2<\/h3>\n<p>Fold each of your circles in half. Remember that the colour that is on the inside of your circle is the colour that will be visible. So if you are using double sided paper make sure that you alternate the colours on the inside.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" title=\"Teresa Collins - Christmas Cottage Card Step 2\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Teresa-Collins-Christmas-Cottage-Card-Step-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Teresa-Collins-Christmas-Cottage-Card-Step-2.jpg\" alt=\"Teresa Collins - Christmas Cottage Card Step 2\" title=\"Teresa Collins - Christmas Cottage Card Step 2\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Step 3<\/h3>\n<p>Now adhere all the half circles together. Add a small amount of Tombow glue to one flat side of the folded circle and continue adding half circles until you have adhered all the circles together. When you reach the end, thread a piece of ribbon through the centre and then adhere the last to half circle together to form a full circle. Make a bow in the top half of the circle and thread decorative beads and crystals at the bottom. You now have a beautiful hanging tree ornament. I started off my career in retail working in a paper shop importing handmade speciality papers from japan, Canada, India and America. We also imported a range of rubber stamps (PSX), along with Ranger Products, and Tsukineko to mention a few. This was all back in 2000. I moved to the wholesale part of the business and got involved in window dressing and opening a second flagship store for the company while the owners were overseas. I have travelled extensively to America visiting CHA and Frankfurt Germany to their biggest paper trade show \u201cPaperworld\u201d where I gained valuable knowledge regarding the industry. After a whirlwind love affair with the business I headed off into the sunset to fulfil my second dream by working in publishing. I started off as Technical Editor on a scrapbooking magazine and worked on several other craft publications in the company as well. But this was not enough \u2013 after a long journey I started my own scrapbooking magazine, which transformed into writing a real book book as opposed to a magazine book, and the rest is history. I am currently a best-selling author in the craft industry with my book \u201cScrap-Boek\u201d being the fourth best seller in South Africa and currently in second print. I am a freelance artist doing work for various companies such as Caxton Magazines that includes Rooi Rose and Bona Magazine to mention a few. I travel regularly to various shows teaching and presenting lectures on scrapbooking, card-making and creativity. I have been published several times in American publications such as Taken Ten Magazine, Catch Up Issue \u2013 both Somerset Publications. I was also asked to be a guest artist by Taken Ten Magazine for one of their issues in which an entire article was dedicated to my work. In December 2011, I made my television debut by presenting Christmas Crafts on 3 Talk with Noeleen. After a bit of a sabbatical with my on-line classroom website Scrapcouture, we are busy revamping it with a fresh new approach to bringing creativity and new techniques to people all over the world. Other than that I spend lots of time scrapbooking and making cards and teaching classes weekly in Gauteng as well as throughout South Africa. I started off my career in retail working in a paper shop importing handmade speciality papers from japan, Canada, India and America. We also imported a range of rubber stamps (PSX), along with Ranger Products, and Tsukineko to mention a few. This was all back in 2000. I moved to the wholesale part of the business and got involved in window dressing and opening a second flagship store for the company while the owners were overseas. I have travelled extensively to America visiting CHA and Frankfurt Germany to their biggest paper trade show \u201cPaperworld\u201d where I gained valuable knowledge regarding the industry. After a whirlwind love affair with the business I headed off into the sunset to fulfil my second dream by working in publishing. I started off as Technical Editor on a scrapbooking magazine and worked on several other craft publications in the company as well. But this was not enough \u2013 after a long journey I started my own scrapbooking magazine, which transformed into writing a real book book as opposed to a magazine book, and the rest is history. I am currently a best-selling author in the craft industry with my book \u201cScrap-Boek\u201d being the fourth best seller in South Africa and currently in second print. I am a freelance artist doing work for various companies such as Caxton Magazines that includes Rooi Rose and Bona Magazine to mention a few. I travel regularly to various shows teaching and presenting lectures on scrapbooking, card-making and creativity. I have been published several times in American publications such as Taken Ten Magazine, Catch Up Issue \u2013 both Somerset Publications. I was also asked to be a guest artist by Taken Ten Magazine for one of their issues in which an entire article was dedicated to my work. In December 2011, I made my television debut by presenting Christmas Crafts on 3 Talk with Noeleen. After a bit of a sabbatical with my on-line classroom website Scrapcouture, we are busy revamping it with a fresh new approach to bringing creativity and new techniques to people all over the world. Other than that I spend lots of time scrapbooking and making cards and teaching classes weekly in Gauteng as well as throughout South Africa.
