When I first saw this range I loved everything about it, and although I don\u2019t use bright colours that often I knew that this range would be a favourite with loads of potential.<\/h3>\n<p>I did a single page layout using various elements from the range that are available from The Wholesaler. But my favourite must be the patterned papers. The papers work well together and my next challenge to myself will be to see how well I can mix things up using some other paper ranges and colours combined with this bold and eclectic range of papers and elements. I am sure I will love the effect and outcome just as much.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" title=\"Prima - Rosarian - Doilie\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Prima-Rosarian-Beauty-Doilie.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Prima-Rosarian-Beauty-Doilie.jpg\" alt=\"Prima Rosarian Collection- Doilie\" title=\"Prima - Rosarian - Doilie\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Here\u2019s how I completed my layout.<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Cut the <a title=\"Prima - Rosarian\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Prima\">Alba patterned paper<\/a> into a strip measuring 2&#215;6\u201d (5x15cm). Adhere the strip flush to the left edge of the background cardstock and 7cm from the top edge.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere the blue floral patterned paper from the paper pad flush with the <a title=\"Prima - Rosarian\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Prima\">Perles strip<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere the black patterned paper next but leaving a small space between the edge of the blue pattern. Trim off any excess on the edge of the black patterned paper if need be.<\/li>\n<li>Cut a 5cm (2\u201d) wide strip from the <a title=\"Prima - Rosarian\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Prima\">Old Garden patterned paper<\/a> and adhere it to the bottom of the centre panel of patterned paper pieces. Leave a small space between the papers and the strip below.<\/li>\n<li>From the back of the <a title=\"Prima - Rosarian\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Prima\">Alba<\/a> paper trim a strip of lace and use pinking scissors for a decorative edge. Adhere this strip above the centre panel of patterned papers.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere your photo as per the sample.<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Couture Creations - Cutting Dies\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Cutting-Dies\">Die-cut the doily<\/a> from plain white cardstock and trim off a piece. Ink the die-cut using a dark charcoal ink for visual interest and adhere it below your photo.<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Cuttlebug Combo\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Cuttlebug\">Die-cut butterflies and emboss<\/a> them using the <a title=\"Cuttlebug Machine\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Cuttlebug\">Cuttlebug<\/a>. Adhere them as per the sample to the left of your photo where the papers meet each other. Use <a title=\"Glue Dots\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Adhesives\">pop dots<\/a> to adhere the butterflies for added dimension.<\/li>\n<li>Add three leaves from the <a title=\"Prima - Rosarian\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Prima\">Rosarian Perles flower pack<\/a> and create flowers out of scraps of patterned paper using a paper punch.<\/li>\n<li>Fuzzy cut some flowers from the <a title=\"Prima - Rosarian\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Prima\">Old Garden paper<\/a> and adhere them to the top left hand corner of your layout.<\/li>\n<li>Finish of by adding <a title=\"Prima - Rosarian\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/Prima\">wood buttons, diamante<\/a> and other elements to suit your theme and personal scrapbooking style.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a rel=\"media\" title=\"Prima - Rosarian - Butterfly\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Prima-Rosarian-Beauty-Butterfly.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Prima-Rosarian-Beauty-Butterfly.jpg\" alt=\"Prima - Rosarian - Butterfly\" title=\"Prima - Rosarian - Butterfly\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A quick and easy layout filled with little details and lots of charm. I started off my career in retail working in a paper shop importing handmade speciality papers from japan, Canada, India and America. We also imported a range of rubber stamps (PSX), along with Ranger Products, and Tsukineko to mention a few. This was all back in 2000. I moved to the wholesale part of the business and got involved in window dressing and opening a second flagship store for the company while the owners were overseas. I have travelled extensively to America visiting CHA and Frankfurt Germany to their biggest paper trade show \u201cPaperworld\u201d where I gained valuable knowledge regarding the industry. After a whirlwind love affair with the business I headed off into the sunset to fulfil my second dream by working in publishing. I started off as Technical Editor on a scrapbooking magazine and worked on several other craft publications in the company as well. But this was not enough \u2013 after a long journey I started my own scrapbooking magazine, which transformed into writing a real book book as opposed to a magazine book, and the rest is history. I am currently a best-selling author in the craft industry with my book \u201cScrap-Boek\u201d being the fourth best seller in South Africa and currently in second print. I am a freelance artist doing work for various companies such as Caxton Magazines that includes Rooi Rose and Bona Magazine to mention a few. I travel regularly to various shows teaching and presenting lectures on scrapbooking, card-making and creativity. I have been published several times in American publications such as Taken Ten Magazine, Catch Up Issue \u2013 both Somerset Publications. I was also asked to be a guest artist by Taken Ten Magazine for one of their issues in which an entire article was dedicated to my work. In December 2011, I made my television debut by presenting Christmas Crafts on 3 Talk with Noeleen. After a bit of a sabbatical with my on-line classroom website Scrapcouture, we are busy revamping it with a fresh new approach to bringing creativity and new techniques to people all over the world. I started off my career in retail working in a paper shop importing handmade speciality papers from japan, Canada, India and America. We also imported a range of rubber stamps (PSX), along with Ranger Products, and Tsukineko to mention a few. This was all back in 2000. I moved to the wholesale part of the business and got involved in window dressing and opening a second flagship store for the company while the owners were overseas. I have travelled extensively to America visiting CHA and Frankfurt Germany to their biggest paper trade show \u201cPaperworld\u201d where I gained valuable knowledge regarding the industry. After a whirlwind love affair with the business I headed off into the sunset to fulfil my second dream by working in publishing. I started off as Technical Editor on a scrapbooking magazine and worked on several other craft publications in the company as well. But this was not enough \u2013 after a long journey I started my own scrapbooking magazine, which transformed into writing a real book book as opposed to a magazine book, and the rest is history. I am currently a best-selling author in the craft industry with my book \u201cScrap-Boek\u201d being the fourth best seller in South Africa and currently in second print. I am a freelance artist doing work for various companies such as Caxton Magazines that includes Rooi Rose and Bona Magazine to mention a few. I travel regularly to various shows teaching and presenting lectures on scrapbooking, card-making and creativity. I have been published several times in American publications such as Taken Ten Magazine, Catch Up Issue \u2013 both Somerset Publications. I was also asked to be a guest artist by Taken Ten Magazine for one of their issues in which an entire article was dedicated to my work. In December 2011, I made my television debut by presenting Christmas Crafts on 3 Talk with Noeleen. After a bit of a sabbatical with my on-line classroom website Scrapcouture, we are busy revamping it with a fresh new approach to bringing creativity and new techniques to people all over the world. Other than that I spend lots of time scrapbooking and making cards and teaching classes weekly in Gauteng as well as throughout South Africa. I am passionate about what I do and I have had many amazing experiences and met so many famous people throughout my creative journey.
