Thank you to the organisers who worked so hard to bring together such a wonderful feast of friends, colleagues, world class teachers and idols! Keep your eyes on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scrapbookex.co.za\/\" title=\"SA Scrapbook Convention\" target=\"_blank\">SA Scrapbook Convention website<\/a> for future events! Of course the Cape Town event is still to come and I&#8217;m sure there are a few ladies already counting sleeps! Our very own Val Colin (lucky girl!) attended the show and here are a couple of words from her.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Amber &#038; Kevin Crowell &#8211; Simple Stories<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Kevin and Amber are lovely people. Felt like I had known them forever. Their class was so inspiring. Amber taught us how to make flowers using circles cut out of their paper \u2013 they look amazing and also how to make full use of their Flash Card paper \u2013 just by the way you cut it. Really enjoyed them and their ideas.&#8221; <em>&#8211; Val Colin<\/em><br \/>\n<a rel=\"media\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/022.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/022.jpg\" alt=\"Kevin, Val &amp; Amber\" title=\"Kevin, Val &amp; Amber\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Amy Tan &#8211; American Crafts<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Amy is a very interesting lady with stories about how she got into the industry \u2013 Cindy Crawford wears some of her products!!!!! We did a mini booklet with the Amy Tangerine Range and also used the Fab(ric) Strips to hold some of the pages in place. Her ideas are really good and the whole book was bright and colourful using lots of stickers. Enjoyed by all.&#8221; <em>&#8211; Val Colin<\/em><br \/>\n<a rel=\"media\" ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/023.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thewholesaler.biz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/023.jpg\" alt=\"Amy &amp; Val\" title=\"Amy &amp; Val\" class=\"gallery_full\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Kerri Gurney &#8211; Art Deco Creations<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Kerrie is such a lovely lady and her class was most enjoyable and informative. The ladies were so impressed when she showed us how to use the Art Deco Creations embossing folders to stamp with \u2013such a brilliant idea, as well as cutting out some of the embossing and placing a contrasting colour behind it to accentuate it.  After the hectic weekend, Kerrie\u2019s class was nice and relaxed.  Kerrie just loved the fact that our specific classroom was \u201cAustralia\u201d!
