Layers That Shine – Jowilna’s Advanced Class

Beautiful effects can be hard work – layer upon layer you build up a beautiful mess that becomes a masterpiece in the end. It takes time and patience to achieve a striking effect. Today I am sharing how I used a variety of products to create layers of shine on top of each other for a spectacular finish.   Step 1 You will need a stencil, texture paste and a palette knife. Step 2 Work on any piece of cardstock – I used a scrap piece from my stash. Apply a nice even and smooth layer of texture paste through the stencil. Carefully remove the...

Embossing Paste – Jowilna’s 101

Today I want to chat to you about products, especially embossing and texture paste. When it comes to product I am very mindful about how I treat my products. Some things are better left alone the way they are packaged and others you can get away with all kinds of things. I was given a tub of Embossing Paste, where a whole bunch of half empty tubs was used to fill my tub. In my experience decanting pastes is never a good idea. The idea of sharing a large tub of paste with a friend because you may take too long to finish it is very tempting...
