What is Project Life?

Project Life is a solution-based approach to scrapbooking that was created to simplify the process in order to allow you more time to enjoy life! It requires no glue, no scissors, no tools, and no skills of any kind. The design of the products takes the guess work out of layout design so that you can focus on recording your everyday moments through your photos and journaling.

The simple design is stylish and makes it possible for you to complete more pages in less time.

What is Project Life?

Becky Higgins, creator of Project Life, is a busy wife and mother who is passionate about capturing the little bits of life, and she’s making it easy for others to do the same. “It’s called Project LIFE because it’s about YOUR LIFE. Whatever your life is. Whatever your stage of life. Whatever your family circumstances. Whatever your lifestyle. Project Life is designed to help anyone + everyone get their pictures into a book,” says Becky. Her goal is to help others Cultivate a Good Life and Record It.

This back-to-basics approach to scrapbooking appeals to the person who’s never made a scrapbook in their life as well as those with experience because it allows you to feel the freedom that comes from letting go of the “guilt” that so many associate with the memory keeping process. The Project Life “way” of memory-keeping is so crazy-simple, it has become known as revolutionary in the scrapbooking industry. All you need is a Core Kits, an Album, and a Big Pack of 60 Photo Pocket Pages. By pairing your pictures and memories with these basic products, you will be able to document your story in a hassle-free system that results in a complete and beautiful scrapbook.

American Crafts has partnered with Becky Higgins to manufacture, sell, and distribute Project Life brand products to retailers, bringing this popular scrapbooking method to more people in more places.

Wow, what a great idea guys. I always feel overwhelmed when faced with scrapbooking so I have never started an album. This looks like something that I would love to try. I just hope it’s affordable too, that would be the cherry on the top :)

  • Not my style of scrapbooking, but I am sure a lot of ladies/men would go for this style, as there is no “thinking” around it!

  • Project Life is an interesting concept, but just not the same as putting a scrapbook page together…. There is just something in choosing paper and embellishments and seeing the page come together.

Wow! This is great, fast and easy for those pics that lie around and you never get to scrap. I must get this.

I really think Project Life is great, especially if you have some many photos from way back when to scrap which you never have time to get to, or money. It makes sense for catch up and for keeping up to date with your photos. Great Idea!!!!

  • Kan mens van die albums/pakette bestel? Dit lyk baie oulik.

  • AWESOME! SOOOO happy that it will be easier to get it!!!

  • I think it’s a fun “extra” way to scrap all the other photographs that are left over! Best part is all the handwritten bits and pieces that you have to add to the album – which is so important. I would never give up my “normal” scrapbooking just to do project life. I would, however, definitely run a project life album in-between the good old scrapping!

  • Project life is great. Even though there is a structure to it, you can still “scrapbook” it. You don’t have to use only project life products. Use your silhouette and scrapbook embellishments to put your own personal touch to it. So I think it’s just a new way to scrap. For the creative and not so creative. Will project life products be available in SA.

  • Project Life is a good option, I would love to add it to my collection of albums. When will it be available in SA?

  • There is no better feeling when you have designed and scrapped your page but project life is an awesome way of documenting a life or an occasion that you have so many photos and don’t know where to start. Looking forward to them arriving in S.A.

Personally, the best thing about scrapping is getting together with friends over layouts, cups of tea, and brainstorming. You do the same layout but no 2 layouts are the same. Project life does not leave much to the imagination and not much of yourself goes into creating a project life album.

I agree with Tracey du Toit, but I also think on the other hand, it gives us a chance to ‘catch up’ your pictures with Project Life. I definitely will use Project Life… but always will Scrapbook! Cannot wait for it to arrive and put into my shop! The Hobby Hut – Durban
