I haven’t made silk foam flowers in a while but wanted to make a spring bouquet with loads of happy flowers with leaves. So, I pulled apart some leaves from fake roses I had and set about creating my flowers.
The interesting thing is that when I cut my flowers, I used my normal worn out C plate, which of course is filled with texture and patterns. These patterns in return transferred to my silk foam and created the most amazing effects. Yes, I am all for the perfectly imperfect, the interesting and the happy accidents that turns out amazingly.
I kept cutting and creating and these beauties are ready to be transformed into a lovely Spring bouquet of happy colour.
I need to get some more leaves and florist wire t make stems, and then I can pop them into a vase for your viewing pleasure. But for now, feast your eyes on those worn out cutting plates and see the possibility they bring, instead of ruining of silk foam.
