Create Your Own Metallic Pastes – Jowilna’s Advanced Class

I love metallic pastes especially stencilled through a gorgeous pattern. With the upcoming festive season, this especially makes my heart happy. Since I ran out of metallic paste, I created my own and I simply love the result. You too can make your own with a few products you already have in your stash.

  • Step 1

Products needed to create this quick card with stunning end results.

  • Step 2

Add a small amount of Gloss Texture Paste to a palette. Squeeze a couple of drops of Delicata Silver reinker onto the paste. Mix the silver into the paste well.

  • Step 3

Use a palette knife to apply the silver paste through a stencil. Carefully remove the stencil to avoid smudging. Leave the paste to dry well.
I created a separate panel to use on the card as a base and a stencilled piece to cut up.

TIP

The gloss paste dries fast in comparison to other pastes which makes it great to work with.
  • Step 4

Once the design is dry, cut out some of the larger poinsettias.

  • Step 5

Add foam tape to the back of the cut-out elements.

  • Step 6

Adhere the cut-out elements to the card base layering the matching poinsettias on top of each other for a dimensional effect.
