Crafting rarely should be difficult or complicated, right? So this week I am sharing a quick idea on how to use one stamp to create a realistic marbling effect.
I love this Kaisercraft stamp and it can be used in so many ways on backgrounds to create interest on cards or layouts. But how do you really fake it to make it look real? Well, you layer it of course – so I used some of my favourite inks to create a fun marble effect.
-
Step 1
Stamp the Marble stamp in Memento Luxe Gray on your background.
-
Step 2
Clean your stamp and then ink it with Delicata Silvery shimmer ink and over stamp the Marble image. I slightly off-set my stamp on this step.
-
Step 3
Stamp the image again in Memento Luxe Angel Pink.
TIP: Remember to clean your stamp each time you change to another ink colour to avoid contamination of the inks.
The different colours layered on top and slightly offset from each other create loads of interest and a very realistic marvellous marbling effect. I love layering my inks on top of each other and combining different types of inks. And what better than to create a quick background for a stunning card using a few easy steps!
