I love colouring in pens and pencils, but the act of colouring itself I find really frustrating and boring. It’s a personal thing, but that doesn’t stop me from messing around and adding some colouring details in my diary.
One of my favourite things is my set of Kaisercraft Gel Pens. Then recently a friend gave me two smaller sets of Kaisercraft Gel Pens and now I think I am in heaven.
Together with the metallic pens, the glitter and pastels colours are simple amazing.
-
Step 1
I started colouring my image using the metallic pens.
-
Step 2
Keep on adding colours to selected areas of your image.
-
Step 3
Layer some glitter colouring over the pastel and metallic colours. The glitter adds a beautiful sparkle when layered on top.
-
Step 4
Add the glitter colour in selected shaded areas on your image.
-
Step 5
While the ink is still wet use your finger to blend the glitter onto the pastel colours blending them together to a beautiful shaded effect.
And then I got bored of colouring and coloured the rest of my image using watercolour paint, ink splats and other creative mediums.
I love the combination of formal looking and creative blending together on the image.
And that’s how I use my favourite gel pens together with other mediums for a really creative and artistic effect.
